This forum supports all Queensland teachers identifying as design teachers. It is a community for sharing resources, discussing the curriculum, finding out about professional development, and working together to teach the senior design curriculum is a most excellent way.
Not many teachers in Queensland currently identify as a “design teacher” - but we’re growing in number. Like so many things, the more you interact with other design teachers and the more you call yourself a design teacher, the more true it is.
This Design Teachers Queensland site is supported by all four relevant teacher associations:
- DATTA (Design and Technology Teachers Association of Queensland)
- QATA (Queensland Arts Teachers Association)
- QSITE (Queensland Society for Information Technology in Education)
- HEIAQ (Home Economics Institute of Australia, Queensland)
It is a broad collaboration of all stakeholders in the QCAA Senior Design Curriculum. It is also supported by Design Minds at the State Library of Queensland, the Queensland College of Teachers, the Queensland College of Arts (Griffith University) and by the Creative Industries Faculty (QUT).
